I believe so. I am 99% sure I heard the thunder during the live stream.

Yes, and if you want to hear it in action The Sims Supply's gameplay footage from EA play is full of it. He did it in 2 parts and I'm pretty sure part 1 is full of thunder and lightening.
  • yet i want to see what it does as a storm is forcats for my sims i guess i could always get out of the game what i mean is does it come up right away or rumble before it??
  • None of it seemed too bad to me. But I don't want to say that and then you end up in a panic attack. There are options in the settings to disable the thunderstorms, by the way.

I think they're pretty great I don't think the flashes are that sporadic. Though like Cupid mention you can just turn thunderstorms off in your settings so you don't get them in your game at all or you can just mute the volume til the storm passes in your game. Whatever makes you comfortable.

You should take a look on youtube at some videos to see some of them (if you're able to that is.)
  • OMG my first thunderstorm im playing and my friggen sim got him by lightning !!!! he suvived thank god!!! i didnt find it too bad i have been though a real life cyclone so a game simulation is actully good for me my therapist would say so xxx

  • When ever the lightning happens it happens so fast though and always miss a chance to take a nice picture. The first time it scared me but I didn’t check my forecast to see what the weather was and had my volume up. Just lower your volume a little if you want to see but don’t want to be startled. It’s actually beautiful seeing lightning in the distance.
  • @carlymichelle The extra awesome part with using Sims storms to practice dealing with them is that there's effectively a warning in the weather predictions :) Breathe through it and practice for real ones :)
