Asking For A Friend...Cheat Needed for Kids and Pets

I know there are many players who do not struggle with either of these issues but for those who do, is there a nice cheat to help make pets and kids (all ages) a little less high maintenance? The mood swings, bad moods can be not fun when they are going on all the time with kids and pets don't seem to have much autonomy. They are both labor-intensive enough that you have to be focused on them so much that you can't do other things. Need a Mommy's Little Helper Cheat or duct tape... ;)

ETA: I know about Cheat Need To Make Happy (works great when needed) but is there a Remove Snotty Moodlet cheat that works? Or one that has pets a little more self-sufficient?

They mention about making needs static in the link.

I just found the bit about Disable Need Decay, that might do the trick. I'll have to test it out. Thanks!
  • LittleMsSam has a great mod that "let pets go for a walk themselves" and an add-on: "Pet needs fill up if they go for a walk" option.

You simply click on a pet, tell them to "go for a walk for 60/120180 minutes", they disappear into a rabbit hole and you get to focus on your sims until they come back from their walk.

Worked great especially for my sim Farm with 5 livestock (pets) and chickens. She also has another mod that reduces the chance of your pets getting sick, a great life saver if you have a lot of pets.
  • Definitely try the UI Cheats Extension - it's a total game changer for me (mainly for kids rather than pets). But you can just click on their needs bars and set them at whatever level you like, you can right click on moodlets and they disappear...it really is awesome! It does other things too, but it makes kids and toddlers much more enjoyable :)

(It says it's Patreon, but if you scroll down to installation you can download it free there).
  • @mercuryfoam Cool, thanks! That may help me learn how to better manage pets without getting frustrated and ditching the save.
  • @asimbsim Thanks for this, it is more like what I was hoping for, I just wanted to tone down some of the aggro factor. lol

I know that the latest patch broke pets needs.

Thanks for the heads up on this. I think I read that the last one broke toddler needs too, like, they went down too fast or something.
