If you bring home space rocks and geodes from visits to Sixam and place them on your lot, then I believe, yes, there is a slightly increased chance of abductions.

That was the case in Sims 3 -- if you had a lot of meteor pieces and rocks on your lot or in your inventory, that increased the chances of abduction when you looked through the telescope. I'm not sure if that's the case with Sims 4 though; it's been ages though since I've had a Sim go to Sixam and collect geodes from there so maybe they upped the chances in a patch.

I thinks it's still the case - at least, that's what I remember reading a while ago.
