If that was actually a valid concern, then how do you explain babies being replaced by toddlers when they age up right now?
There's literally no difference between replacing the current baby object with a toddler then there would be replacing it with a new baby lifestage sim. The coding would be as easy as making the new baby the transition after the baby object, instead of toddlers, and then forcing all of the old baby objects to "age up".
Yes, and if you look, that's actually one of the options I mentioned, though I gave it a little more time as objects. So there would still be baby objects in the game, but for a very short time before being replaced by sim babies.
I can, however, see this causing a lag spike if people have saves with a lot of babies in them as the game processes them all. (Which may or may not be noticed, depending on their game.)
