- burnished_dragon7 years agoSeasoned AceIn one save I have currently going I have MCCC set to marry and break up sims. It is going to be an interesting game. Last night while I was playing two of the sim's I put in the game married townies - I had to move them back into where I wanted them to be. I have plans for those sims lol
- I really hate to break up couples, especially in the picture perfect world of the Sims. Sometimes I do if I want drama like others have said, but usually it's just the same old same old for me. The music makes me feel too bad!
- Usually for the same reason a couple would break up/divorce in real life, for example when one spouse cheats on the other with someone else (either autonomously or with my "help") or if they just constantly fight and I don't know why. It could also simply be for storytelling purposes.
I find it funny how people here write things like they feel "guilt" or feel sad afterwards, it's still a game after all. - paradiseplanet277 years agoSeasoned AceOnly when I've chosen the best lover for my Sims out of all their lovers :joy:
- AfterMidnight137 years agoSeasoned NewcomerI usually play legacy saves, so my sims tend to be with their first partner until they die unless the challenge calls for a breakup. My rotational save is a little different, but there haven't been many breakups/divorces there, either. I guess I get attached to my sim couples.
- simsimsere7 years agoSeasoned AceI broke up a couple with one child because they seemed to belong in different worlds. They didn't live together to begin with, but I had plans to move them together. The girl decided she wanted to stay in her parents' place in Willow Creek. The guy was originally from Willow Creek too, so I didn't expect there to be problems, but he had moved to a tiny house on Windenburg island and really liked it there.
I don't mind some drama, but in rotational play it takes so much planning who ends up with who, so usually the couples stay together. - I broke up one out of my 20+ legacy couples because, after leaving them on free will for a while, they just had no romance left between them.

I dont have the heart to break up a family lol
It depends on the household I am playing. If I am playing an evil Sim its part of what they do and I'll intentionally have an evil Sim break up couples just because they can. If I am playing Anatu Masaru I will have her break people up because she is my manipulative sim. She is n't evil. She isn't good either. She does this because she enjoys playing games with mortals. They are there for 2 reasons 1 prey and 2 amusement. I have her hooked up Malcolm Landgraab and an aged up Max Villareal. Like evil sims, she will break up couples whether they are unhappy and happy couples with kids. She once broke up Sibion Fyres and Sergio Romero because she could then broke up with Sibion. Other households I don't have them breaking up couples.- I've had occasional break-ups but never really divorced any sims. I don't marry them unless they really seem like a great match.
- I break up sims all the time so I kind of feel like an outlier here.
