autonomy broken

i have autonomy set to full and disabled for selected sim, it used to be that the autonomy for my unplayed sims would work normally and by that i mean they would watch tv or use the computer or play video games or go swimming, however i've noticed that for quite awhile now all my sims do is talk to each other.

now normally this isnt a problem but when iam trying to have my sim workout and theres 7 other sims in the tiny house gym all trying to talk to me it becomes very annoying

while i do have mods none of them effect the autonomy, 95% of my mods are just hair/clothing stuff. is there anyway to fix my broken autonomy without having to uninstall and deleting the entire sims folder (assuming such a thing would even fix it)
