i went with the kalua pork dish in all three cases, though one did grand meal and the other two did feasts. none of them used any ingredients, just the default option

next up is the teen with max cooking skill who had been catering the vast majority of parties in my game for ages:

the sun's just now thinking about coming up in oasis springs, so it's still pretty dark
last up, my alien who has mastered every skill in the game and has pretty much all the reward traits (including the ones that improve cooking quality):

the sun's finally coming up in newcrest, so you can actually see what's going on...
beverly and ara both had some needs in yellow when they started cooking, so that could affect things somewhat, but i had ara grill some sausages on the grill you see behind her immediately after the pork dish (the most expensive thing on the grill) and they came out at excellent quality. all three pits used were brand new, too. had just placed them before they were used, since none of those households have any reason for them (in fact, with the alien, you can see where i had to delete some of the lot tiling to even place the pit)
