Base Game Update 10/22

mariefoxprice83I plan to wait until the EP is released plus a few days. We have 8 weeks until the deadline for the 6-week event, so we have 2 weeks of spare time if it's too risky to update right now.

Moreover, essential mod modders usually update quickly and I saw that EA gave the necessary data to modder in Discord. I believe that I can update the game this weekend.

For safety, back the whole game folder, and don't play the story too long. Just play the Reaper event. So, if there is something wrong, we don't lose too much progress.

P.S. I want to say again, that if there is no Reaper event, I will hold the update for a month.

It's one of the reasons that I might not wait too long if they fix it. (And no more game-breaking bugs or severe visual bugs that trouble my screenshots.)

I'm so glad that you can fix it smoothly. But for safety, I think you should keep the backup of a saved file that is before you manually fix the festival too in case there are hidden bugs from manual deleting with mods.

I also fixed my university world lots by changing lot types to reset uni-club events. But I got "Last Exception" every time I did it. So, I still am not sure if I did it right even though I did it without using mods.

This game is too dangerous for long-term playing save. Be aware in any case. 😂

Among many bugs that should be fixed today, I didn't realize that I played and saved many screenshots with "Eyes/Eyelids don't close" for over 2 months! 😂

Fortunately, I stopped playing the game after the Lovestruck update for a long time and then played the new save file instead. So, the damage is still acceptable. (Even though now I can notice the bug in some of my screenshots, especially the romantic animations.)

Now, I hope the festival and university lots bugs will be fixed in this round too.

Well, I hope it fixes a lot of stuff. I know at least one critical eye bug is gonna be fixed. Two more to go.

Oh no I dread the patches.....Please don't kill my game ☠️

Will the patch and the event start at the same time? Or is it possible to start up the gameju before the update and play week 5. Then update right afterwards? 

I think you should be able to start your game and play week 5 before the patch is released. The event is based on a timer, once the time is up, the event progresses to next week. 

I agree. I am waiting for the update and even after updating I will be testing the game out.

The patch is one hour before the Reaper Week 5 begins.
