Thankfully they programmed in a way to lock computers.
Same actually goes for swimming pools during a snow storm, sims seem to love running outside to take a dip or float on a floater mid Winter... I wish we had a "cover" to close the pool for the cold season. Removing it on every freezing day seems too tedious and is probably not intentional.
That's actually a great idea. I don't think it would be too hard to program into "Base Game". Basically it would be switching a pool on or off.
