I definitely think traits matter a lot. I have a court and playground in the back of the village grocery store and one of the employees for that store is ALWAYS playing basketball, even when she should be working. Meanwhile, I've never seen any other Sim play on it yet.
I don't know what her traits are though, haven't had any played Sims get to know her.
Your grocery store is sounding shadier by the minute @Stormkeep First you say you are selling food that is years old, now your employee is neglectful of the store and playing basketball all day :joy:
It's funny what employees get up to if there are resources on the lot. I caught one of my shopkeepers getting foot massages once. ?
