Basketball - is there a way to reduce its attractiveness?

My sims seem to be obsessed with the basketball hoop. A couple being extremely flirty might suddenly separate because one of them are running outside to play basketball. No matter what they do the bas...

Honestly? If I find a problem like this, I just fence it off, and lock the gate, or have it in a room and lock the door. I've even fenced off the fridge before because they wouldn't stop going to the fridge, lol!
