Beeping sound(the coffee pot glitched, mods delete if needed)

Hi all. So I am having this strange issue since the update today and wondered if anyone else is experiencing it or has an idea why. Every time my household loads, there is a single beep sound that keeps catching me off guard. It only happens at the start and if they travel. I tried doing a game repair but that didn't fix it. I have no idea what would cause this. Thanks in advance :)

Turns out it was their coffee pot?? Lol something glitched and it was beeping for no good reason :D

    So funny enough, I've narrowed down my problem. It's either the house the family is living in, or something in the house. It was totally fine before the update, so I'm still really curious what happened :hushed:

    It could be the lot.

    I have a lot I built before the patch that's giving my sim skills. For example,upgrading her bed will teach her video gaming, talking to Vlad will teach her Selvadoradian culture, talking to her plant will teach her charisma, listening to music will teach her gourmet cooking, etc.

    I think the patch messed up some builds. Eta. I never had mods or CC in my game.

    I'm not sure if a mod could cause such an issue but first take out your Mods folder and clear cache to see if the problem still happens. This patch broke a lot of mods. Switch to headphones or speakers to see if that fixes it as well.

    I took out my mods and cleared cache before updating. I am using headphones but I will check the speakers just to see.

    Still getting a beep with the speakers as well. It's weird because I can hear game audio for a split second before the music that plays when it happens. How odd.

    That's helpful knowing it's not mod related. This thread will likely be closed once a moderator sees it letting you know all issues should be directed to the Answers HQ site. You might find an existing open thread about this issue over there or you can start your own.

    You're probably right. Was hoping to see if anyone else here had issues before heading over there.
