Hello there, don't know if this is the correct section and I couldn't decide where it goes.I have a Mac. I LOVE it, but as seeing that I mainly use it for Sims it isn't ideal. I am trying to get into other types of games (Life is Strange, Unravel, Assassins Creed maybe) but I have come to find that game developers generally avoid converting to iOS (except the Sims 4). I want to find a computer, PC specifically, that plays ts4 well at minimum. If I could play ts3, it would be great, but I don't even need that. A "reasonable" price range . Also, I'm a big CC person.Do y'all have any suggestions? What computers do you use?

I recommend the Asus gaming laptops, I’ve had two and they are great! I currently have Sims 1-4 plus a few other games installed and they all work wonderfully (I use a lot of cc, especially for TS2 & TS3). The exact laptop I’m using is ASUS ROG Strix GL753VD 17.3" Gaming Laptop, but it’s a bit older now. You can get them for $1,100-$1,400 in my experience.

Okay first off I have hp laptop (not using at moment) as long has very good graphics any laptop is fine cause my laptop was not a gaming laptop and i played the sims3 and 4 just fine. I have ts2 but not from orign store. cause any place sales laptops or computers ask them what good verity for sims.

Just avoid anything that's integrated graphics as they are not really designed for gaming (sadly I have one :( )

I have an ACER Nitro with intel core i7 and an NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX, also full HD.I play with all the settings at max and it runs really well. It gets hot quite quickly in the summer but I bought one of those external fans and it does the trick.It was also a very reasonable price for all it can do to be honest. I play my game vanilla though (but with all the dlc that's out apart from MFP stuff pack).

ASUS or MSI (which I have, $1100). Go to xoticpc, they have a ton of laptops around the same price with even better graphics (mine is 950M Nvidia)

I'm not a computer expert or anything, but from I saw when I looked up the specs, neither of these computer sound like they'd be very good for playing Sims on. Have you checked to see if they meet at least the minimum requirements for the game? If you have pets, check the requirements for that instead of the base game, as the minimum requirements for Cats and Dogs is not the same as the minimum requirements for the base game and other packs.

I know they're expensive, but if you want a laptop to play sims on, your best option is probably to get a gaming laptop. Most of the ones out there have specs that will pretty much guarantee they will run the game, even on the highest settings.

As someone who used to play on a laptop a lot: Not only make sure that the specs are right but also check if you can access the fan and clean it. When you play a lot and the fan is constantly spinning at maximum speed it will collect quite some dust - Just like any laptop/PC would. Plus when you are playing the laptop heats up because you are doing more than just office stuff. Eventually this can lead to problems. When you have the option to clean the fan you won't run into problems. Some laptops allow you to unscrew a hatch or simply open it just like that.
