SheriSimSimmervillecrocobauraThank you all for your replies. Reading across them makes me feel like a rags to riches kind of gameplay with a residential rental is not a good idea. I have not yet played with residential rentals but definitely want to give it a try. in a seperate save I won't regret deleting afterwards in case of corruption. The recent reports in the community about game corruption issues seem to only confirm this.
The entire lot will be a normal residential and then switch when all is set. As a storyline I have been inspired by the most recent event and I want do use the residential rentals to create a spaceship with place for 4 households. I have a rough outline of the spaceship but it will take a while to complete it. The sim who will try the landlord aspiration will be the captain of the ship. He or she obviously has an entire ship at once to take care of during a long mission in space.
a commonspace with a cafeteria is a must.
