Best Workaround to Own A Bar?

In game, a restaurant is basically a bar, it's just a matter of what you serve.. but I don't think you can own multiple restaurants.
You could also place a bar on your home lot and schedule parties or club gatherings.

Or there are mods that can create a similar function. I think it depends on the degree to which you're okay with creating the story yourself and in your mind, vs. being something you want the game to impose once you've decided on a basic storyline.

If you just want storytelling, you can edit lots just by visiting them, and it's free. You could always use a money cheat to take away simoleons, but you wouldn't be in charge of the employees and really, it would just be visiting.

I don't own Dine Out, so I can't tell you if restaurant would be a better deal than retail, but at least with those you'd officially actually own at least one location.

What part of owning do you want? The remodeling? The employees?

@nerdfashion Thank you for that cool mod! Unfortunately, it doesn't let you choose employees or uniforms, as far as I can tell, so it's probably better for someone looking to make money, but I might use it in a different save if I decide do a game with money as the focus.

@Maggiedoll Errrggg! I didn't realize you couldn't own multiple restaurants! Thanks for telling me. Right now, I'm just using clubs to control access to different parts of the lot, but I think I will probably try to have him own one restaurant later on just to see which way I like better.

@phantasmkiss I wanted to pick employees and uniforms and also have a private office for the owner. I was able to give him the private office through locking the door to a club of one person and then just used CAS to change the employees who showed up into the people I wanted them to be.

You can own multiple restaurants :)

Hello All, I'm new on this site, I'm trying to own a bar/nightclub I did build my own but I'm not making any money at all. I saw you had to change it to retail. & I tried to place a nightclub on a lot but it wouldn't let me. Is there any tips I should know? I'm also on PS4 .thank you
