With or without a career, a legal system in general would be nice. Like adoption outisde of the computer "adopt" interaction, especially with alien children. The man has an alien baby, and it's not even genetically his child, but he's the father. While even if his wife treats the alien child as her own, she can't actually adopt it without using a CAS cheat to make it herself the mother. If it's giving birth that makes a parent a parent, than non of the Sims fathers are the real parent. But if it's parenting, than it's her child as much as his, considering that it's a pure alien with no DNA from either human parent.
Or ANY adoption situation outside the computer interaction. You can change the relationship with the CAS cheat, but it feels like something that should't need to be cheated in.
