Im sorry you feel like you cannot create yourself in the game!! You have to use your imagination and have this suspension of disbelief a bit since its only a game, it doesnt have the color wheel/other tools previous games have. The sims themselves dont have a "race" since they arent set on "Earth" per se so you have to just imagine so. I think the game is still missing a ton of essential features it doesnt have and thats why I dislike this iteration the most. The most pressing for me is personality ; the sims just lack one imo. Hopefully if you keep asking to expand the game eventually they will. Or maybe in this new skin tone update there will be a lot more that suits what you feel will represent native americans. My brother is partially native american and black and I am able to make a character that looks like him because they do have darker skintones that match more what looks like him, but glad they are updating them in general.
I dont view the lack of representation as blatant racism from EA per se, its just a reflection of the world. For black people with the lack of hair options is a reflection of real life when you go to buy hair products at the store and our products are this tiny section locked up behind a glass wall. Now things have changed a bit after lawsuits and companies trying to cash in on the "natural" movement but it comes down to how will EA make the most $$$???
Ah yes. We will put out video after video about how inclusive we are. Thatll bring it it. Despite the lack of personality, we are inclusive, diversive, in every sense of the word. The game may no no consequences or tiniest worlds to date but "the sims has always number one priority is inclusitivity" (sims 1 would beg to differ). Id really rather they focus on personality and consequences rather than apperances but their target audience is totally different these days. Id rather a games with a good story than the customization. There are plenty of games I play where the story doesnt allow me to customize the character all. But i know im a white guy or girl. Like 70% of the time. But I enjoy it because the games story is good. The Sims 3 people looked like they crawled out of a lagoon but I love the stories and personalities and thats why I enjoy the game. I dont really need the game to represent me 110%, id rather them focus on the personalities and functions of the gameplay itself, but I can sympathize with the fustration.
