Its because we live in a society that has propped up one group as the default/standard, therefore, they cant see why people want better optimization for darker skinned sims.
No girl. This is not what it is about. Nobody here is being inconsiderate or discriminatory. When it comes down to it I feel like our expectations have become so huge that we see fault, racism and controversy even in a video game.
