Also, if they bring in fairies, I 99% believe they won't even be a new occult/life state, and will just be a new version of the spirits from SE/ghosts from Paranormal. Can't have new systems in this game without making sure they can be repackaged over and over again with new coats of paint.
This, to be honest. If the farming pack ever comes - and I hope it will - I more or less expect it to be a repackaged Stardew Valley, just because of how successful that game was. So I would expect farming to very much be portrayed as an alternative to the urban rat race, for the focus to be on 'working with nature' rather than industrial farming (unless you want to go the JojaMart route), and if there are any supernatural elements, for them to be more or less the junimos repackaged - just little spirits that might be called fairies, but you can't be one, you can just choose to work with them if you want to (or anger them, knowing the Sims) for some sort of benefit. Honestly this might make the Occult players happy though, apart from having to wait - if fairies as an actual life state comes in a different pack, it'll probably be done in a more fleshed-out way.
But like you say, we have no idea what's coming yet, so there's not much point speculating until we're told.- @ElyssaX
"Human interference and change in climate" Exactly.
And climate change is also a consequence of our disastrous way of treating nature. There is a point that you do not understand, we believe we are saviors when we are the cause. The way to get closer to nature is by being part of it, we are not... We simply take advantage of it (the native peoples knew how to be part of it, we lost that teaching a long time ago). That makes us feel guilty for what is generated "closeness" to nature but it is nothing more than a false empathy. I am not saying that there are not people who really love their work towards the natural and that it is surely pure in its feeling, but our history condemns us.
I will stop talking about this because it detracts from the subject. I just wouldn't like a ZOO package. If I would like what @Gordy says to be friends with new animals in a world like granite falls and that's fine with me! even when that GP came out I thought we'd get bears. Obviously I also think like him, it will never be done, it would take many new animations, meshes, textures, it is a big NO. As you can see, we keep waiting and begging Maxis to add some animals... Chickens, llamas, rabbits and cows but we get dust bunnies...

That is what I meant! very creepy "Benjamilian;c-17901205" wrote:
Out of interest, where did fandom get the idea that a farming pack was coming? I assume the expectation was around *before* the phrase 'bond with nature' was used, as it's a bit of a reach
This fake leak came out at the beginning of last year and it's been "farming! farming!" every time an expansion is coming ever since

Plus the Dream Home Decorator came with a farm themed tent and they often hint at the next pack in this way (Snowy Escape had an item literally called Paranormal Plates) so that's got more people thinking farming is coming as the next pack- DaWaterRatNew VanguardLots of Gamechangers showing off their postcards from Henford on Bagley this morning.
I'm thinking the Farming/Cottage Core voters got it right. - CAPTAIN_NXR7Seasoned Veteran

Henford on Bagley looks and sounds like a Cottswolds village! (Bourbon on the Water, Slow on the Wold.)
I once visited one of those quaint villages called “Castlecombe” and learned that the movie “Wolfman” was filmed there. Its about a werewolf, obviously.
Nevermind the farming and garden markets in Henford on Bagley. I hope werewolves live in the woods nearby. ? - JanuaryGarnet08New SpectatorBased on today’s Twitter hint, I think fantasy/cottage farming is inevitably on its way.
- LiELFSeasoned AceRomance and farming! That's what I think it is. They do like to throw us off. Mrs. Crumplebottom has a purpose and that's to pummel public displays of affection.

I never played whichever Sims game had Agnes Crumplebottom, but it seems to me that that particular gag would get old, possibly fast.
Imagine the chaos combining her with the Free Love NAP from Eco Lifestyle... - So we are getting an English country village or market town? Sounds interesting. Also the Crumplebottoms are apparently returning.
I do hope they put a bit more effort into the culture than they did with Britechester (which is essentially an American university experience with British architecture) like they did with Snowy Escape, such as school uniforms. - kathmhughesNew SpectatorI'm thinking it could be farming, fairies, and romance? There's the country star who used a fairy emoji on twitter.
