Bonus content?

So, I finally got the bonus content. I had a friendly chat with the German EA Help Desk. I told them the problem and they sent me the content directly to my account. After starting the game, it was installed.

This is evidence that it cant be a mistake. This is deliberate. EA created keys for the resellers that dont grant the bonus items when entered in origin. The same keys are to be used after the 2nd sept. So the statement that keys purchased right now will grant the items was a lie.

I dont understand how people could steal codes. Every code/key can only be produced by the gaming company. Either they sell it through their website, their own software like origin, epicgames, battle.net and whatnot or through resellers. How could they know a code/key is stolen? The reseller would have to inform the gaming company and knowing its stolen are closing accounts of victims.

What does make sense is that gaming companies want to discourage players from buying cheaper keys yet they provide the resellers with the cheaper keys. It would not suprise me if the gaming companies create special keys, tell the customers they are (alledgedly) stolen, remove the content/game and sometimes even close the account so people will hate the resellers and spread their stories how they got screwed. So everyone goes directly to the gaming companies to buy the games at the full price. In the meantime the same companies made uninterrupted profits with reseller keys. Corporate greed has a tendency to do these things.

But they would never adress this in a way that could be credible or verifiable.

I have also bought through CDKeys because - I can get the expansion or game pack for a lot less than Origin offers. I might have to order from EB Games this time as Best Buy is sold out. I mean the difference between buying from Origin or the other 3 is $12.00 and then add taxes, it can make a difference in my budget and is the bonus items worth $12 - nope I'll save that $12 for a stuff pack (still fighting the kits, they are only available through Origin and are too much for what you get)

Yeah I have this and I bought from CD Keys. I wasn't overly bothered about the bonus content to be fair. If you read the descriptions on More Info, the game without 'Expansion Pack' lists the bonus content, whereas the one with 'Expansion Pack' doesn't. This is definitely intentional, I don't think we will be receiving the content.

I pre-ordered on Origin and my Gnome On The Go content installed with the update on Tuesday. As far as I know it’s still there and I downloaded with the button that said Cottage Living Expansion Pack because it was the only one that had a download button on it. I didn’t specifically look for the bonus content yesterday as I assumed it was still there from Tuesday but I will check now.

Are the items worth $12.00 CND? because that is the price difference for me between Origin and CD Key or EB Games, Best Buy is sold out. I think BB didn't even bring it in as it took until last week to show up on their website. EB only has online and delivery not in store. So I would have to wait until it was shipped. I am currently in the middle of a move so that is not an option

After contacting EA, I received the package. Game purchased in a box (UK).

Contact EA Support like I did. I know some people aren't having much luck but they applied the bonus items to my account right away.

That is exactly what I did last night and they basically just told me to get lost.

I wonder why some people are getting it and others aren't in this situation.
