Bouncer on Restaurant Lot
Hello all! I hope I chose the right section for this question.
I've built a restaurant with a VIP area, and when I hire a bouncer the Sim that comes to the lot labeled as Bouncer just stands out on the sidewalk away from the building and never comes in to do his/her job. I've been play testing this lot today, 2 or 3 different visits and this has happened each time. Everything else is functioning just fine. Sims are able to move around every part of the build with no issues, and the VIP area is working as intended.
Any idea what could be causing this? I haven't tweaked any settings on the doors/VIP ropes, and don't have the option to (testing with non-celebrity Sims only so far, if that matters.) I suppose a bouncer isn't really needed for this lot, but I just want to make sure I have any foreseeable issues resolved before sharing this lot to the gallery so anyone playing on the lot who wants a bouncer present can have one.
I haven't built a restaurant--gosh--probably since shortly after DO released, and this is my first time to include the VIP doors in a build. (The exact item is the Upscale VIP Exclusivity Door, and I included a screenshot below--red arrow is entrance to building, blue arrow is where the VIP door is located.)
Also, the main dining area is "split level" with floor removed. The door ropes are sitting directly at the top of a 2-step stair. (another Screenshot for that) Could that be the issue?

Also, by any chance is there a way to make celebrities PREFER the VIP area over mingling with the commoners or nah?
