Here they are, the officers (and assorted employees) of the Detroit Police Department as they look in my starter save. Their occult status varies from save to save, in the beginning they are either human or android. Originally I adopted the bunch from a different game, but ever since, they have evolved to the point that I consider them my OCs. Chris, Gavin, Hank and Connor I got from the gallery, the other four I created myself.

Holiday Celebration Pack

Gavin and Daniel’s original love story unfolded as a “career oriented cop meets criminal deeply hurt by society” enemies to lovers arc. They started dating in December, shared a memorable Christmas dinner at the police station when they both had the holiday shift and got married on January 5th two years later. Christmas is important to them, but they can also be very, very silly!

The original box art features June Kay and since she is part of my cast she got to stay in the picture. Who knows, maybe Chris dated June before he eventually fell in love with Susan?

Awesome Animal Hats

Connor here doesn’t share my enthusiasm for the hats, but the other two are insistent in an “If you want to be a part of the team…” way. I like how the owl ended up looking straight into the camera.

Outdoor Retreat

The sims refused to use the bench to roast their marshmallows, so I had to place them on the ground. Still, I think I captured the original cover’s atmosphere well.

Originally I got this pack for the aliens, never knowing that the police station would become crucial to my simming in a later save. With their ongoing romances and rivalries, watching my sims at work is immense fun.

For “Detective” the choice was obvious. For the “Retail” aspect I opted for Caroline Phillips, Daniel’s previous employer. For “Doctor” the choice was between a mad scientist and Connor with his internal lab. You better try not to get hurt, simmies.

Caroline is wearing a top that’s not included in this pack.

Perfect Patio

Daniel is shown in his true form here, the robotic chassis underneath a thin layer of fake skin. Apparently it took a while for him to understand that a hot tub is for relaxing, not for getting clean.

Also, the playing with water animation is sweet on its own already, but seeing the guys do it in sync was the icing on the cake. Never hit PAUSE and C faster, haha!

Spa Day

This scene has some history: Early on, in their origin story, my sims were vacationing together and came back in after a snowballfight. Gavin offered to rub a defrosting agent on Daniel’s android body, but he had just eaten salmon breadspread right from the jar and mixed up the jars, resulting in Daniel getting covered in fish paste.

Cool Kitchen

This one is part of a long standing tradition of me taking sad pictures of my detectives being stuck at their workplace during festivals, holidays… or just a hot summer day when everyone wants to be at the beach. Daniel to the rescue with the portable ice cream maker!

I love the Cool Kitchen CAS, but I enjoy torturing my sims even more, so the uniforms it was for them.
