I have an installation that does not go past University, whether in packs or updates/patches. Do works reasonably well in that when my sims go to a restaurant, they get served in a reasonably prompt manner. Have never tried to own/run one. The installation on a newer machine, which is closer to current, has your DO issues. Among others. Let's just say that installation is seldom played as I want a game to be fun, not aggravating.
