So, recently I've noticed that the kit Bust the dust isn't working properly in my game. I've read simmers have had problems with dust never showing up but for me it's there constantly even though my sims are cleaning all.the.time. This can't be right? They vacum their whole lot and when returning home after being out for a walk for example there is dust bunnies and filth everywhere again.Even the robot vacumer cleaner stoppes working after one round of cleaning..Anyone else have this problem in game? It's too bad because I love the idea of my sims cleaning the house and really don't want to turn the dust function off in game, but it's the only option for not having my sims do nothing but cleaning :(

Huh nope haven’t personally had this issue. Dust appears every few days like it’s supposed to. This was an initial issue but should have been fixed a few patches ago. Have you tried a game repair?

Since these latest patches the home maid doesnt do much at all. Before she would have her own vacum cleaner and use it frequently. I've also tried to gift vacum cleansers to the maids but it doesnt work at all :D They don't even clean the houses anymore so it's really annoying. Yeah and the robot cleaners doesn't work at all. I've kept buyng new ones but it doesnt help at all. May I ask if you're playing with any mods or without?

I have a full house of 8 sims living in a two story house, each floor has one robo vacuum, not yet upgraded and its working ok with no issues. My robo vacuum cleans automatically every 12 hours and only needs to be cleaned out every third time. I do not use mods though, do you use any mods that might cause this?

This was a known issue earlier, but I thought that it was said to have been fixed.

I'm really frustrated as well. I never meant for my sims to spend their days cleaning, they have a staff for that but those NPCs don't seem to have any impact on the 'new' kind of dirt. I even gifted them with vacuum cleaners, as well as having one of each sort ready to use in the laundry room... but they don't use them.

I don't think it's broken. Maybe some stuff isn't at my liking, like the inspired moodlet or the autonomy, and because of that i have it disabled, but i wouldn't say it's broken...

@Akl500P That sounds like it used to be for me as well. But now dust appears after a few hours in game. I've repaired the game but it doesn't help. I think this problem started with a new save that I started to play in may.

@haneul It's so weird because I haven't had a problem with this kit at all before, I think it started with a new savefile for me but I'm not sure. Really frustrating though.

I can't have maids in my regular Sims house, that is for the Landgraabs, Goths and Fengs. They can have all the Butlers, maids and gardeners they want.
