My sim wants to throw a kava party for the new aspiration but everytime I set it up it becomes a spooky party - both phone and calendar. I've tried repairing the game, resetting the Sims 4 folder and taking out all my mods. Nothing seems to work. Anybody else have this problem/find a solution?

It must be - I've tried it both ways and neither one works for me. Also my sims looks more than a little ridiculous standing on his pier in the Star Wars costume he insisted on wearing :smiley:

@Sindocat Have this: <3 As for the topic, it's the mandatory; have you cleared the cache file when removing the mods?

I was having the same problem. Must be a bug but I figured out how to work around it. I noticed that even if you click the checkbox for a different party type, you have to also click on the name to make sure the entire box for that party type is highlighted in green. If you just click the check box for another party, Spooky Party is still highlighted in green and it makes a Spooky Party.

I created the one my sim had through the calendar and did not have any issue with it being a kava party, however whenever i called them to drink it they just ate the food around, that part made it hard for her to get higher than silver on her party ( and she has the aspiration for party person) but I plan on trying again (maybe she has a long lost sister that decides to visit her on the Island for a break and help her out)

But I don't want to throw a spooky party...

I'm not having this problem. I haven't tried to set it up thought the calendar though. It could be a bug.

Yes this is true. This happened to me as well and this is what I did.

You were absolutely right - I was checking the box for goaled event without actually clicking the Kava Party selection. Thanks again for all the help!

Happy I could help because it was driving me bonkers before I figured it out. Couldn’t figure out why everyone was showing up to the formal Black & White Party in a silly costume ?
