Butler Problems.. anyone else have one or more of these?

The time runs only at normal speed when everyone is asleep or out of the house because the butler is awake (getting too annoying) The butler has never gone to sleep (he's been with the family...

I have the same fast speed issue for my sim when she goes to sleep; I can set it for 3x but it's much slower than the in-game superspeed.

Additionally, some really weird goings on... I sacked my original butler as she was insane and a klepto. Ordered another one, had her for a day or so, then went to an event. Came back, and the original butler was there! Anyone else have this happen?
