cabinets/counters/kitchen feedback & suggestions

Question

Hi,I've been looking at the content and options in the kitchen building area of the game and comparing it to Sims 3 as well as my checklist of things I was hoping would be implemented.I have to say that I really like the modular cabinet design and the ability to change the style/shape (to an extent). I also like that you can adjust the height of the cabinets on the wall and stack some on top of each other.I like how the islands can have curved edges. It makes for more interesting looks. And the ability to wrap wrap normal counters around an outside edge is a very nice feature.I do have some additional requests/suggestions.*Consider an option to automatically add ceiling tiles above a cabinet that needs a ceiling tile to be placed (so we don't get the error about not being able to place one due to lack of wall or ceiling)*Neo angle corner cabinets to match the upper ones (instead of having all lower corners be L shaped)*Curved angle regular counters/cabinets (basically having the same curve as the islands)*Transition cabinet that links regular counters to the island counters*Regular counters without the little backsplash at the back*Diagonal counters that can link up with other cabinets smoothly (these can be flat-fronted or curved)*Half-tile upper cabinets *Tapered end cabinets (both upper and lower)*Upper cabinets that are not as deep as the counters and that touch the surface of the counter or have side parts that come down to touch, leaving a cubby*Double sided upper cabinets (sort of like island cabinets that hang down from the ceiling)*Softer edges to end countertops (both island and regular) so we don't get such a blocky look (this can apply both vertically and horizontally)*More appliances (see post http://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/751573/more-appliances-mini-fridges-freezers-commercial-appliances*A built-in fridge or pantry that works like the tall cabinet and links up with cabinets*Drawers on the lower corner cabinets (obviously not functional, but decorative would be nice)*More options for the door/drawer layout. :D Your pics are beautiful and any of these would be awesome in game. Heck, I'd love to see any of those in my home. Let's hope EA will consider some of these for the next patch or stuff pack release.  :)

I wish I could still see the wall cabinets when the wall is down. Love the corner edge ones and I wish we could put a sink in the corner or corner edge.
Suceress love those kitchens.
Why do the round breakfast cabinets have to be so huge can't we have slimmer ones.

Then, when you go to choose a make and color scheme you can also choose normal, corner, short, tall, and end pieces for your cabinets. Of course, you'd need to place corner ones yourself in this mode. Hope that helps ;)

I realized that some of the counters I've been referring to as "island" counters are actually "peninsula" counters.
Here is an example of a peninsula:

It attaches to the regular counters and doesn't have to be against a wall. There could be double-sided peninsulas that have cabinets on both sides, or ones similar to islands with an overhang.

I also previously described a type of layout for less than 90 degree angles. Here is a crappy mockup I did using screencaps from a friend's computer.

Of course, that would also be nice with curved countertop over it or with curved fronts to the cabinets.

your ambition and drive to see more variety in our sims game play is highly respected and justified.  Sadly the EA/Sims crew don't have that same ambition and or drive. its taken them this long to finally give some time to put in L stairs.  Id like to see a corner or counter cabinet that is also a trash compactor rather than  have it exposed.  Oh and YES YES YES to the ceiling tiles.  Again this all takes time away from dev team from creating their clay hairs and open worlds with ample room for more lots that we can NOT use like TS3.
