Can anyone help me with my graphics settings?

Hello :)

I would be so grateful if anyone would help me set the best graphics settings possible for my game. I don't really know much about this so I would appreciate any help.

My PC specs (please let me know if other info is needed. I translated it to english, spelling mistakes may occur):

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6500U CPU @ 2.50 GHz 2.59 GHz
RAM: 8,00 GB (7,87 GB usable)
System type: 64-bit operative system, x64-based processor
GPU: Intel(R) HD Graphics 520

I want to know how far I can push the settings without the game getting laggy (or worse?).
I would like to know what "vertical sync", "uncompressed sim textures" and "post processing effects" is, and if I should check them or not?
And should I check "laptop mode"?

Thanks a whole bunch <3

  • Well, what is your graphics card?

Also, why don't you just try the different settings? We can't see when your game runs smoothly. You can't break anything by trying.

I don't use VSync as I feel it makes my game stutter. I use uncompressed textures - the game looks prettier, but it's harder on the computer. Post-processing make the distance look blurred. I use that, as my eyes don't agree with sharp contours everywhere.

Laptop mode is if you are using a laptop - they typically overheat faster than a stationary computer.

I thought graphics card and GPU is the same? My graphics card is Intel(R) HD Graphics 520 as written above.

Of course I could try testing the settings, I just wondered if anyone has some tips or experience with the same specs, I'd like to know what my computer will be able to handle so I have something to start with. Because I've got no idea. And testing takes time.
