Can change traits but sim still gets tense from old trait I removed?

So I don't see anyone else talking about this so lets say I want to edit a sims traits, either my own or the pre-made ones. I switch out a trait for something else, but when I resume playing that sim,...

I had that happen with two Sims that I changed traits on. I don’t remember what the traits were, but I noticed that they would get emotions that said the source was from that trait or whims from that trait.

I think that when a Sim gets assigned a trait from creation or being born in the game, it must have a deeper connection in the system. I just ignore it or cheat out an emotion and keep moving on.
