I'm having flashbacks to a very old Sims 1 story, told by screenshots, about an army of Gnomes now.
For your case, you can also zoom onto the ghost and I think there's supposed to be an indication of the cause of death in the center of their chest or something like that. Do we not get popups of what caused the death when it's happening anymore?
