Just wondering with the new expansion pack it showed sims going to jail, I was just wondering if anyone knows can we commit crimes playing as our sims and can we be sent to prison? If so I wonder what happens to game play if inside jail.

I'm going to guess, no. I am going to guess that your sim can work as a police officer in a specific neighborhood tied to the police station and only follow scripted game play like some of the Ambitions careers. Then your sim goes back home to a crimeless utopia.

If they can and it isn't a rabbit hole (personally I think prisoners are just there for the cop careers), it will probably be possible to just ignore them and let them do their thing like they're at work. If you want to play them or it's your only sim then I imagine gameplay being a chunk of lockup that you're probably going to speed up every time, then either being let out to do whatever you want or having a schedule for eating, showers, etc.

My guess is that they were just there for the trailer, unlikely EA would put that much work into making a working prison. :astonished:

I hope so. I find this to be very interesting and I don't play evil sims. Either your sim will get to interact with other prisoners or will be greyed out like at school and work is. I hope we can do something with it. I may try criminals.

Hello @Emm3ers. Active Sims that you are playing can't be sent to jail. Your sim can join the detective career, arrest suspects and solve cases. This is a link to information about the detective career.

I always wondered about that. My latest sim owns a shop which he sells things he has stolen. Idk how his mean wife would handle that considering she likes “crushing dreams” of their children or yelling the moment she’s not being played. Hahaha definitely an interesting pair up.
