Can Sims Gain Weight?

They can lose and gain weight.

treadmill and jogging for weightloss and the workout machine for buildung muscles. also i heard that if your sim eats gourmet meals then they don gain that much weight because they have less calorira but i dont know if this is true

Yeah the weight thing used to bug me as my sims used to gain weight like crazy. But I appreciate the weight system now, as it’s prob one of the better thought out and executed features in the game lol

Different meals have different calories just like irl, cakes and grand meals are the worst for weight gain in my experience, but things like grilled cheese are bad too. Another bad thing to do is eat past being full, this will pile on the pounds. I tend to try and keep my sims on a healthier diet to minimise an expanding waistline, unless the sim is proper into fitness.

Yoga is the ultimate way of losing weight, with visible differences after every session. Running is the next best, either treadmill or jogging is fine, but you have to “push the limits” to get into fat burner mode, so takes longer lol Swimming does nothing, or very little..

If you are struggling you can also pick the athletic aspiration when creating a sim, as this gives you the high metabolism trait ;) Hope that helps

To gain wight, eat more that you need to. If you see the food need full, keep eating and you will start getting weight.

To lose weight, use the treadmill. No, pumping iron will not help. Specifically treadmill. Jogging also helps, but not much.

Treadmill is the best, and very quick, for losing weight. Also yoga, which also builds muscle.

Want to gain weight? Grand meals or cultural City food stalls. All townies I regulartly see out and about, end up fat.

The title of this thread shook me a little. I mean, thinking of all the trouble simmers have with especially female Sims gaining weight just looking at a serving of garden salad.

@wylmite1986 Sims could also gain and lose weight in Sims 3. In Sims 4, though, it's gone a little overboard and you really have to watch what your Sims eat and DRINK. Bar drinks contain tons of calories and will make your Sim gain weight rapidly. So, watch it if you have a bar in your Sim's home and they have the mixology skill. If they also are a Foodie, then put the bar behind a locked door or get rid of it altogether.

I don't normally use those potions as it feels kinda cheaty to me, but I recently had 7 sims in uni and they were piling on the weight so fast that I got them insta-lean :)

The only one who stayed slim throughout was a gal who did yoga every day from the start.

Rock Climbing Wall treadmill are best and fastest way to gain both lose weight and same time gain muscles at same times than any equipment. But you had to add lot or item to already gym in the game if you don't want add it in your home, I do this almost every time and edit gyms when it's had room. Best doing inside, snow and raining make it's break, I recall.

If they're at Britechester (Foxbury has too many stairs) get them a bike. It's fun, and it counts as exercise like jogging.
