Can Someone Please Explain the Appeal of Build Videos?

Okay, so I have noticed right now build videos seem to be most popular among YouTube watching sims fans. And not to be rude in any way, but I honestly don't get the appeal of them. Sure, I love to see...

Opposite for me as majority of let's plays are boring. Only ones that's been entertaining is callmekevin, thegaminglemon, and captain sauce.

I like building videos seeing the process and getting building ideas as well as being able to download the build. Gives me ideas. Things like watching 100 baby challenge and cliche stories for me gets tiresome.
