I'm asking because my vamps aren't drinking from other sims when they've become thirsty. They'll go all the way into the red, switch to dark form, and still will not drink from another sim unless I manually direct them to. I've tried removing the plasma packs from their inventory and everything, but nothing happens. They'll compliment the other sim's neck, comment on their heartbeat, and ask about their cardiovascular health, but it never goes any further than that.Has auto-drinking been nerfed or something? Or is it just something going on in my game? When I first got the Vampires pack, they'd drink from other sims with no problem at all. Now, I get nothing.

It might have been, but I am not sure in which patch. They are supposed to once they lose control, unless they have the perk that keeps from autonomously attacking Sims.I don't know the specifics of your situations, though. It could even be people with sustained moodlets from having their plasma drained prior. Despite how little sense it makes, vampires (even out of control vampires) always respect when Sims are anemic as to not cause them harm.

My Vampire sims do it, when they are deep into the red, sometimes thy don't bother to change into dark form. But it takes a long time before it happens.

Vampires did get heavily nerfed once all the realism players that bought the Vampires pack started complaining about Vampires in their games a lot... I don't know why EA listened to them, or why they even bought Vampires when they didn't want to play with the occult, but they were making a big fuss in 2017. I wouldn't be surprised if it takes a crazy long time for your own Sim to do it, and I definitely don't see any townie vampires autonomously drinking from other sims. I never even get any breaking into my home anymore. I used to get regularly stalked by Caleb and now my yandere boy is ruined. :(

In an unmodded game they'll only drink when their thirst reaches 0 and they get the "irresistible thirst" moodlet (or whatever it was called). Then they should lose control and drink heavily from whichever sim who's available. They'll also drink autonomously if they are in a club which has "drink plasma" as club activity. I wish we could more easily actually see vampires acting like vampires without us needing to specifically direct them. They never even use their powers (except movement ones). Even the nighttime break-ins got nerfed to basically non-existency so that I had to use a mod to restore them. *sigh*

Agreed with the break-ins. My vampires used to go on drinking rampages whenever they were enraged, but that hasn't happened in ages. One vamp used to attack his family members every time they had an argument. *sigh* I miss those days.

Hi Shae, an Enraged vampire will deep drink other sims is about as much as I can tell. They'll keep going until they resolve the enraged state.

Yeah, one of my vamps did it when he was very angry, much to my surprise cuz I didnt know that could happen :D

Hot-Headed vamps could be a fun addition to a save when you want some drama.

Yes! There are two vamps in my clan that autonomously fight at every gathering. I always get the "very angry" or "enraged" moodlet due to jealousy before each fight. I have a mod that allows my vampires to create "cattle" or "blood dolls" for feeding on, and out of spite, the older vampire always sets them free. That action usually sets off my younger vampire who always challenges him to a duel.

I used to have 2 vamps who always went on biting rampages whenever they became enraged, but then it suddenly stopped. That's why I was wondering in my OP if perhaps that autonomous function had been nerfed at some point. I have since found a mod which restores that action somewhat.
