Can't edit Dark Form

Recently I've encountered this odd bug where I can't change/edit my vampire's dark forms at all. I use a mirror and select "change sim" and all I can do is change the eye's hair, clothes etc. same goes for if I chose a dresser and select "change sim" The only mods I have are the MCCC the woohoo counter mart to the MCCC and NoDirtyOrSickPets. I have tried removing these mods, to which nothing has changed and I still can't edit my vampires.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: I know about fulleditmode. What I'm complaining about, is that I was able to change my sim without using the cheat mode.

    That's alright, I was probably a little harsh in my reply, I apologise for that.

    It's strange that you were never able to edit your sim's face using the "change sim" interaction at a mirror or dresser. This is beginning to sound more and more like a really bad bug. :-/
