cant find where you buy wares
When I look at the map I see the market place, but I can't travel there.

If you are staying in the district where the cantina is then you can walk to the marketplace from your lot. You just cannot go to the bar as it is a different lot to the marketplace. But if you are in a different area, say the romantic villa, you can travel to the bar and go out from there.
