I don't have any floor tiles in it? Otherwise you couldn't exactly call it a greenhouse =p
Its just dirt flooring but it still won't let me place them indoors. And I don't care about the puddles. You could always just leave puddles there and it wouldn't bother your sim. I just think its silly that in the previous games you could place sprinklers indoors but for some reason they decided to prevent that in this game."IceyJ;c-16569495" wrote:
I never give up when this game tries to stop me from doing something I want to do. o:) I was building a store that sells seasonal supplies. Don't remember exactly how I did it. I think I placed it outside near the building, then stretched the walls out to cover it. You could also place it anywhere outside and build the room around it.

Thanks for that idea. I guess I could try it, but its a hassle considering I've already taken the time to build the greenhouse. I'd have to pretty much dismantle it, place the sprinklers, and then rebuild it all over again.... there should be a much easier way. Like them just simply letting us place it indoors.
Not really, you don't have to delete the whole greenhouse, just one wall and the roof so it's considered outside and not closed off, then rebuild it. And does MOO not work?
Please see my lengthy response directly above yours. I've already responded to someone else who said the same exact thing you have said. (Did you miss all of that...? :S)
And if you had paid attention to my first post I had said that move objects cheat does not work (:.

Of course you have to close it afterwards otherwise the plants won’t be able to grow year round which is the entire purpose of putting the plants into the greenhouse in the first place.
I didn’t bother to delete a wall. I simply left the roof off with ceiling tiles deleted, added the sprinklers, then put the glass roof on. You will get puddles on the ground which will make your sims grumpy, but, it sort of works
Well yeah that's obvious, why would I make a greenhouse in the first place then. That is the whole reason why I'm upset that we can't place the sprinklers indoors. Its why I have been adamant about keeping the room. But I'm not sure who said that you shouldn't close the wall afterwards? I already made a long response above explaining why I can't do that method, but I wondered if removing the roof would have worked. I didn't bother trying it, but if that is another piece of advice someone else can use then that's good. Thank you for that suggestion.
Like I said I just ended up downloading a custom sprinkler that works and actually lets me put it indoors like it should. There. Problem solved. Super simple - is that so hard? All I wanted was a sprinkler that could be placed indoors and they couldn't or didn't want to do that. But its fine thanks to wonderful modders I have my greenhouse just as I like. In the screenshot I posted you can see its autumn, but the plants look perfectly fine and healthy because its a fully functioning greenhouse room like its supposed to be. That is what I wanted all along~
