I know we are all anticipating the release of the sims 4 and even though it is far away, I see no problems with talking about what we would like to see. Like in every sims game, my favorite part is looking at the new careers and setting up stories for my sims around those careers. For the sims 4, I would personally like to see lawyer as a new career. I think it would just be an interesting career path and not just because I am working towards a law degree (although I may be biased). Anyway, what new career would you like to see in the sims 4?

I don't really have an actual idea but I would like at least a few of the rabbit hole jobs to be turned in to professions and more branches for the professions such as the police having a S.W.A.T,, F.B.I etc.

I would like to see hypnotist or psychic career track again. This time, for example for these particular careers you would see your Sim meditating and that would increase their psychic ability so perhaps hypnotist/ Exorcist career track and for a more creative branch would probably be alternative medicine practitioner in the Medicine career track so there would be both conventional and alternative branches of medicine being explored. so perhaps may be a New Age/Paranormal career track? Also I never see ANY representation whatsoever of disabled people in the game. Granted, not every disabled person is low functioning and mean high functioning coherent.

I would like to see the political career expanded so it actually affects the town. Kind of like how they had it in TSM. The protests added in university made me think of this.I think they might have fundraising events added to political career that would probably be timed.

I would simply like to see more branches for everything . military having an air ,land and sea branch culinary having a cooking and baking branch , Journalisim having a written and TV branch etc

More branches of everything will be better. It just means a career track isn't so predictable, and it adds a lot of reply value.

I would LOVE if there were a Vocal Teacher career! :mrgreen: Then there could be classes that sims attend to improve their singing skills! :mrgreen:

Law. With three branches:
One could become a prosecutor, an ace attorney or a judge as the top of the career.
I've been waiting for the law career to make a comeback on The Sims 3, and I can't express how disappointed I am because it didn't.
It is one of the most popular careers in the world, I mean, there are lawyers everywhere. There is no good reason for it not to be in the game.

How about an Election Day?

Run a smear campaign by stalking (or hiring a private eye) the other candidates. Take pictures, gather evidence of nefarious activities, sneaking in and hacking their computers, make a website (or hire a web designer) with information, misinformation, disinformation against the other candidates, take any information you find to the paper, tv, radio station and run a blitz. The current mayor could buy a media outlet to prevent you from using that media.

If your career is the private eye or web designer, a sim comes to you to do the above jobs. According if you like the mayor or not...or if you want to squeeze the mayor...

The jobs should be more indepth. If a sim thinks her husband is being cheated on by rumors or her friend saw her husband kiss another woman, she'll come to you (the private eye) to want to get photographs so she could go to the aforementioned lawyer and get the house and kids. And if it got found out you were the pi who took the pics will get an enemy of the ex-husband and any friend he tells (that believes what's the harm in a little extracurricular smooching).

I love all of your ideas! I cannot wait to see what careers they put into the sims 4. I hope there are more than just what is in the sims 3. I also think that a wedding planner profession would be fun as well.
