I find him to be one of the most supportive Simmers towards the Sims 4. I remember when the SimVIP drama was going on he was concerned about being called a shill when he so isn't. Sad how Sims 4 fans feel about one another depending on the mood. He doesn't have to be a true fan to enjoy the Sims 4. I enjoy honest content. I feel like videos in general have gotten too politically correct as to not to offend this iteration. I really enjoy his Stardew Valley guides too. I remember how hurt James was when his girlfriend Deli was attacked on Twitter by her fans because of a video she posted. It is tough being a content creator. Never know how others will react. Anyway what happened with SimVIP I take honesty over lying because lies have a way of catching up on someone. I know some 100% love the Sims 4 but isn't the case for everyone. I have deep respect for simgirl and Carl. They both have helped contribute to the Sims 4 a lot and their little acts gives me hope there is still a salvageable Sims community. Hopefully feedback will balance out before this iteration ends so still got a few years to go."CelSims;c-17846472" wrote:
It's nice to see someone looking thoroughly at what was patched and being informative. This is some thing I'd expect from gamechangers.
Not making your 50th video of 'every rooms one tile bigger and please don't notice I have no clue how to actually play the game that pays my bills'. Or other such tripe.
You can really tell he cares about the game, even though he criticizes it.- SharoooniaNew SpectatorI'm definitely going to watch this later. I'm playing without personality mods in my game for a change and I'm not really missing them so something has improved that's for sure.

I'd still like to see a written overview so I could refer to it as needed.
Here's what Carl talked about- Good sims can help out other sims, reducing the duration of negative moodlets.
- Good and Cheerful sims will react with annoyance at mean interactions. Cheerful also reacts to gloomy, Good reacts to negativity.
- Mean sims love watching other sims fail.
- Sims clean autonomously if they haven't cleaned in a while. Doesn't matter if everything is clean or dirty, they just want to clean.
- Jealous sims can "talk it out," venting about their romantic troubles.
- Perfectionist increases the chances of painting a masterpiece.
- Gloomy sims will sniffle, even when they're not sad.
- Cheerful sims can "Look on the bright side" for negative moodlets.
- When Cheerful sims are happy, all of their negative moodlets decay faster.
- Hot-Headed triggers more often.
- Goofballs pull pranks autonomously.
- Clumsy sims might break things like dishes, while washing them. A good level in Handiness will help them break things less often, but it'll still happen.
- Sims with the Hates Children trait will be more visibly annoyed with twerps. They'll still autonomously react and bicker without being blocked by the emotion system.
- Geniuses can solve hard problems to gain Logic, and will get more Eureka moments in the Scientist career.
- Slobs might heckle others for cleaning.
Would also like to add to this since it wasn't in the video but apparently(can't confirm cause haven't played it):- Noncommittal sims won't accept proposals unless their romance and friendship bars are full or close to it. Not really sure if this is new or always been that way. They also get uncomfortable when someone professes undying love to them and you'll have a harder time getting them to try for baby.
- Good sims can help out other sims, reducing the duration of negative moodlets.

This is cool! I think it wasn't in the game... before i've been able to marry noncommittal sims just with half bar, both in friendship and romance.- Good sims can help out other sims, reducing the duration of negative moodlets.
