cas.fulleditmode not working?

In my sims game, I click shift+ctrl+C, than I type testingcheats true, which enables the cheats as it should, than i type cas.fulleditmode and shift+click on a sim. I like editing the sims outside of my household, but when I shift+click sims outside my household and click "modify in CAS" it brings up my household in create a sim. Is there a way to fix this or is it a bug, because it hasn't always been like this?

It's a new bug since last week and has been acknowledged in the forum by QA. To work around it, use MC Command Center (it has a similar function) or edit the household from Manage Worlds > Manage Households.

The same thing has been happening to me for the past few days. Hopefully it will get fixed.

Try editing the sims through manage households instead.

The issue with the game loading your own sims household, instead of the NPC was fixed in a patch.

Try checking that your game is uptodate with patches .
If you still have issues, repairing the game may help. To do that, go to games library in Origin, right click on the sims 4 picture and click repair
You can also edit the other households through manage households

Try coming completely out of the game. Then go back into the game and test to see if you can use the cheat then,

make sure you type "testingcheats true" EACH TIME before you type "cas.fulleditmode" and go into CAS. "testingcheats true" tends to turn itself off a lot...

it is on. I manage to edit body and facial structure just not the eye color.
