My graphics card is Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650, I think it's like 4 GB (?). Sorry, I don't know a lot about this kind of thing. I have all my settings on Ultra, and I followed this tutorial showing what settings to use via the Nvidia control panel. My CAS screenshots are godawful. If I zoom the camera up close to the sim the screenshot looks okay but full body shots are disgusting. I made some custom content and would like to include a decent screenshot when I upload it but apparently I'm too stupid to take non-horrid screenshots. Sigh. Any help will be wonderful.

I'm not sure I understand the problem, but the game is designed so that things look better up close (there are different LODs). Can you show an example of what would be a good full-body screenshot (like something from another creator)?

That's a good idea. I did try taking a screenshot using the print screen button but it didn't seem to be any better. I may submit a bug report but I'm questioning whether this is a problem that's normal or if I'm imagining things. Maybe it's my monitor. Maybe it's Maybelline! Sorry. Couldn't resist. :)

What I don't understand is why you need to "zoom" in the picture editing program if you need a face shot? I need at least a 3/4 body shot but when I take a full body or 3/4 body shot the face looks terrible. It's just that I haven't made anything for TS4 in about a year and I don't remember the faces looking that bad in full body and 3/4 body shots. I was worried something was wrong with my game or worse, my computer. I thought there was a way around the problem but it doesn't look as if there is.

Oh, any image will look like that if you zoom in to a larger size than the image has pixels. When you zoom the camera in within the game, it's generating a new image that looks closer up but it's the same number of pixels. That's why the quality doesn't degrade inn the same way.

Found out about this, too, though I'm not sure if my PC can handle it. Supposedly, SRWE will do the same thing but only when needed for screenshots.

Well, I think I'm just going to have to live with the low quality of full body and 3/4 body shots. I tried the graphicrules.sgr mod that SimplyJen suggested. Didn't change the sim's face quality in the full and 3/4 body shots. Tried SRWE which meant I could take a screenshot in 4K but given the size restrictions of tumblr and Sims Resource (where I primarily upload my stuff) I'd have to resize the shots and guess what happens? Much blur. Same issue with taking a screenshot of my computer screen with Print Screen or the Snipping tool: Must resize = pixelated. Ditto with Katverse's method. I'm out of ideas. Probably it wouldn't be noticeable in a screenshot anyway. The faces do look good if I zoom into them and take a screenshot, which is great for things like earrings, makeup, hair, etc., but the full body and 3/4 body shots are messy and that's just how it is. Thanks for all the replies, though!

Good luck, but I'm not sure it'll make a difference. A high-resolution image is still needed if you want to zoom in a lot.
Would you consider either of these images (by Rusty) to be of acceptable quality?
