you can also change the light colors live mode and get famous might have some scifi details maybe some floor or roof trims could give dimension too
theres that blue glow thing in realm of magic debug too that might give some more to the blue glow of the place

Thanks for the tips! I don't have High School Years yet, but the Discover University wallpaper with the lines is an excellent idea! (I've never applied that one before, didn't even know it existed.) The StrangerVille lab door, too, I'll use it for the building next to the one in the picture (because I am now setting up this lot to replace the science lab, and it will have several buildings for different purposes). Hopefully sims will still be able to go through that door without a keycard, though. :D

The glowing wallpaper from Spa Day was actually the first thing I tried, but it was a bit too much. Maybe for the invention constructor room, I'll see how it looks there.
Edit: Nope, doesn't work there either. :D It's just a little too... surreal? If I ever build a castle in the clouds for my angels, that's where this wallpaper will come into play.
