I don't care how many items they say are there. I could care less if there are 500. It's the quality of the items we get. When half of them are decals and separated items of the same thing just different versions (like someone posted about in a different thread) it makes me irritated. We notice. We should be getting more pet items. Decals and decor only go so far. Im over the plum decals. They need to do a survey before expansion packs about items we would like to see. I feel like their priorities are not the same as ours which is a problem because we are the ones buying the game, or they didn't have the budget and in that case I would've rather went without the decals then have them as filled items to bulk up the catalog. I would've loved some more dog bed options and a doghouse. :p
Do the kids these days love decals? Am I too old to play this game now? Maybe they are trying to market to a younger age. I'm just confused why they think we love decals.
I think they(creators) love decals. Yeah, they could be cool, but there are way too many. If someone tried to use them all whatever they were building would look ridiculous. It would have been better to just have a small variety of the best ones. A cheeseburger in a pets pack, why? Some of the pet items even look nearly identical and I have no idea why."RnM92;c-16113045" wrote:
So basically they've filled the pack with mostly decorative objects? What an absolute joke this is. Can't believe this, a freaking decorative pet carrier? What's the point of that? Could they really not be bothered to programme in an animation where the sim puts the pet in the carrier and takes them to the vet?
That pet carrier could have easily been a functioning doghouse, or even one of those indoor box-like pet beds(instead of our new "pet rugs").- I'm pretty sure the ''pet beds'' are just rugs that pets can sleep on, because you know making an actual real fluffy pet bed would require new animations and that's TOO HARD and takes TOO MUCH TIME for the devs
Aren't those curtains the same ones we got with the toddler patch? Is just recolor."AlbaWaterhouse;c-16113875" wrote:

Yeah they are. I haven't seen all the swatches but they are ugly in my opinion. Lol."Dannydanbo;c-16114027" wrote:

If they had given us enough decent color swatches (other than more kids colors) the first time, they wouldn't need to "regive" them with new swatches.
I downloaded some really nice CC recolors of that particular curtain set I use all of the time!"NorthDakotaGamer;c-16114069" wrote:

I wouldn't have thought so. We were all kids playing the Sims once too and we weren't wanting decor all the time. I played the Sims 1 from age 8 or 9 and I still want the same stuff I've always wanted from the Sims, particularly a good game with outstanding gameplay. I don't see how kids today are any different in that respect.
Not "all" of us were kids when Sims 1 first came out. I was about 21 years old and it was the first game I purchased as an adult. I can say that many kids want easy games that they do not want to work too hard to play as that is what my kids complain (retro games being too hard) about.
Lol. Youths today. (Eyeroll and sigh) :D"ashleyl2203;c-16114014" wrote:

It's pathetic they're giving us a recolour of an existing item in an expansion pack. I can make some new swatches in less than an hour or download some cc ones.
They could have altered the mesh a little at least! I know the expansion is about the pets and I shouldn't care for a curtain, but it's an existing item for God's sake. It's really off putting to me how little they seem to care. It wouldn't have taken much time or resources to make some small changes to items like curtains. They seem to do well with making 100's of chairs...- EmmaVaneNew HotshotI think a lot of people are forgetting debug.
Things like the laser pointer and teaser (I think I might have seen teaser in catalogue though) might be ordered from the toy box or online instead of the catalogue, or they might be accessory objects that only spawn when used (found in debug).
Pretty sure some past games you had to go into debug to find particular chew toys, tinfoil/paper balls etc, because pets would just randomly pull things out of the box.
Some other things might be unlockable via the vet skill or perk system.
We don't know these things until we see general pets gameplay, either from the team or early access simmers. - I can’t believe the lack of stuff for pets.
