If they had given us enough decent color swatches (other than more kids colors) the first time, they wouldn't need to "regive" them with new swatches.

I love CAP! While I will play realistic looking pets it's great that others will be able to make voidcritter pets or alien pets. That's fab. What is upsetting however is that the ability to create pets has seemed to come at a cost of everything else. It's pathetic they're giving us a recolour of an existing item in an expansion pack. I can make some new swatches in less than an hour or download some cc ones.
They could have altered the mesh a little at least! I know the expansion is about the pets and I shouldn't care for a curtain, but it's an existing item for God's sake. It's really off putting to me how little they seem to care. It wouldn't have taken much time or resources to make some small changes to items like curtains. They seem to do well with making 100's of chairs...
Yes, alter it into those missing kitchen curtains we are never going to get. :o Maybe they have no idea what I mean when I scream kitchen curtains I must be speaking a language they can't understand...example:

Hmm... As long as we get new things as well I don't mind a few old things with new swatches and patterns.
If we would have fewer curtains but double the amount of swatches it would show would it be nice to interact with that? You click on one object and get 10x10 little boxes with color and then you try to remember which little block was a version that you liked. It would be nice if we could choose ourselves but since they are premade and we chose one I am interested in how they would present the different choices. Just idle musings from my side but I feel like there is a upper limit to how many swatches I would keep track of.
The flipside of that is when you try to make things match and it just don't work. I seldom run into this while building but trying to make nice outfits on my sims can make me so irritated sometimes. Like trying to match up the brown bits or purple bits. They are always different shades. I wish we could have a color wheel for the sims hair that was inheritable. It would make me much happier about my sims appearances.

I don't care how many items they say are there. I could care less if there are 500. It's the quality of the items we get. When half of them are decals and separated items of the same thing just different versions (like someone posted about in a different thread) it makes me irritated. We notice. We should be getting more pet items. Decals and decor only go so far. Im over the plum decals. They need to do a survey before expansion packs about items we would like to see. I feel like their priorities are not the same as ours which is a problem because we are the ones buying the game, or they didn't have the budget and in that case I would've rather went without the decals then have them as filled items to bulk up the catalog. I would've loved some more dog bed options and a doghouse. :p

I think they(creators) love decals. Yeah, they could be cool, but there are way too many. If someone tried to use them all whatever they were building would look ridiculous. It would have been better to just have a small variety of the best ones. A cheeseburger in a pets pack, why? Some of the pet items even look nearly identical and I have no idea why.

Painting a fake dog in a game is abuse now?
The problem is not CAP, it's awesome and everything we deserve. The problem is we did not also get good objects which we also deserve. It should not be one or the other. We should be allowed to have all aspects of a game we are paying for be at least decent and not a compete slap in the face.
