Because there are. I mean no one's really done a direct headcount, but at a glance it definitely looks sparse.
Sparse? Lol. This blows like 95% Sims EPs out of the water in terms of object count. TS3: Seasons, for example, comes with around 130 objects (and that includes build mode items like doors and windows). Here we have almost 300 without even including a bunch of build mode items. - I assume well get much more in terms of build items like new Windows, doors, fences, wallpapers and flooring etc etc. Also I suspect more outdoor items which they haven't really showed us, I think what we saw was mainly indoor decor and vet stuff.
- They didn't show all the build/buy objects. There were trying to only show vet objects and I think they were saying they were trying to save some of the stuff for the next livestream so I'm pretty sure there's way more stuff that they plan to show but I could be wrong.
- I kept going back to the oval braided rug and matching half rug. Reminds me of childhood.
- And I don’t think this is all of the stuff? I don’t see the new food stalls or the fisherman statue or the poodle shaped shrub. They may show more stuff next week.
- I'm pretty happy with the variety of cat condos and the fact that they look "normal" and not exaggerated, both in size and looks. However, the lack of actual dog houses or just pet beds in general is appalling. For an EP that is all about cats and dogs, how can you not have those? Google pet beds and you will see all kinds of cute and comfy beds for both cats and dogs, there is a ton of variety. Instead, they give us a super thin towel/rug? Might as well have the pets sleep on the floor, the level of comfort is basically the same.
Why is the buy mode filled with furniture and decor that have nothing to do with cats and dogs, when they could focus on the actual pets and give them plenty of objects? I swear, I'll never understand some of the decisions this team makes. Hopefully I'm wrong and the pet beds are hidden somewhere on the buy mode, but I very much doubt it. I guess we'll have to rely on CC makers once again. Sigh.... "elelunicy;c-16110808" wrote:

But what are they? A huge percent look like decorations, specifically wall deco.- Omri147New SpectatorI like the general furniture, but why is there so little pet items in a Cats & Dogs EP? As well as barely any alternatives for the pet items (except for cat condos, for whatever reason...)
It seems CAP did in fact take the majority of this EP's resources... - I'm happy about most of stuffs in the Sims 4 but I agree with the people here who say it's weird that there is more Sims furnitures which we could have in any pack than pets furniture which we will never have again. The pet bed looks anything but comfortable they could have make so many cute things but this looks sad :(
- We already have 50 (or something) stuff packs that give players a ton of furniture and decor, why have EPs suffer the same fate? Why not focus more on gameplay objects, for example, freaking beds for pets to sleep on? If I end up buying all these packs, my buy mode will be 80% of furniture that I will not use. And I couldn't care less about all those funky dog/cat clothes and how you can make a pet with all the colors of the rainbow. I care about the little simple things of life. Buying a nice, comfy bed for my cat, or being able to sleep with my dog next to me. I haven't played TS4 in months but I always come back to hear the news in the hopes that the next packs will be better and won't disappoint me, but it's always the same story. Maybe I should just give up.
