I haven't had any issues to be honest and i have CC and mods. With regards to not knowing what a pet wants you have the option to ask them what's wrong and they have a speech bubble which shows u if they are hungry, need the toilet etc. This also comes up automatically so you just need to pay attention, just like you do in real life with your own pets. With two of the cats I made when they needed a litter tray scooping they came and told me lol. So not sure if people are just saying the bad things they have experienced or heard of? Also I LOVE the vet career and, haven't hit any problems yet.
