Perhaps there graphics drivers are too far below the new specs for this pack? They might want to post a diagnostic in the tech forum to see if that's the issue. My game runs, there's some lag, there's also a white screen I have to sit through for about 30 seconds entering CAS/CAP that wasn't there before. But, like I said I know for a fact my graphics driver is not up to the new specs. Right now, all my settings are on high,
I still have Origin in game turned on, and I need to turn off online access still. So, if I lower a few settings, turn off Origin, and switch off online access and stay vanilla the game will be playable. These are all well known things people can try to improve performance. Removing your tray & screenshot folders can also help. I keep mine on my desktop. Hopefully I can eventually upgrade my computer to meet the specs for this & future packs, but until then these fixes seem to make the game quite playable for me.
