Celebrities are really getting on my nerves.

It's a shame too because I really like the DLC.

I like the build items, clothing, and I really like the acting career.

However, the NPC Sim Celebrities are way too in your face! They are at every bar, night club, park, party event, coffee shop, and restaurant I visit. They're even standing around in front of my house! Then when someone calls my sim and says "Hey, there someone famous at the lounge! Want to go see?" NOOOOOO! I see them everywhere! Why would I take time out of my busy simming to go see someone I literally see everywhere???

Sorry, I suppose that was more of a rant. Hehe. Really though, if they could put a leash on those celebs, it would be much appreciated.

Happy simming! :)

  • OMG yes, they ARE everywhere. They did tone down everyones reaction though, it used to be way worse than a nightmare when one showed up. And they always did.

Strange. Celebrities should only be found at selected places at selected times and they should always have bodyguards and a personal assistant for most of that. They shouldn't be doing what you suggest.

If they did that in real life, i'd be able to meet the likes of racing drivers, certain actors and other high profile celebrities out and about. Most Fans would be lucky to have a chance in encounter with one let alone all the time.

I've only ever met two people in my time who are famous, one is a politician, a local MP who sits in Commons (and i won't give a name as it points to a location) and the other was a well known historical presenter, Julian Richards. he did Meet the Ancestors. Both had bodyguards and a personal assistant with them and you couldn't talk to either of them unless they allowed it and even then, their time with you is limited to a handshake or a few comments before the celebrity would move on.

Reads like something that needs an overhaul as i don't have this celebrity pack.
  • Are they not mostly frequenting hot spots? I thought there are lot traits to control this? I didn't have this problem in my game, I think it's balancing quite well.
  • If only there were specific types of celebrities from Z listers to A listers.

Of course the A list celebrity would be the most sought after because they are so epic, you are talking Arnold Schwarzenegger or Jackie Chan sort of celebrity. However the demands on their time is so much they will only be seen very rarely.

Then you got B list celebrities, still very sought after but not in the same league, like Gordon Ramsey or Alexander Rossi. They also have significant demands on their time and are also seen very rarely.

Then you got C listers who don't have anywhere near the same impact as the above, but are still very popular and stand out well enough, the likes of Tony Robinson or Jay Leno. They don't have that greater a demand and can be seen around a little more often, but still rarely.

Z listers are the type who scrape the bottom of the barrel in terms of what a celebrity is, because they starred in one reality tv show, so they have been recognised, but only for a limited time. They are often out in public getting hammered and doing stupid things, often not the types of things a real celebrity would get into with the public. But Z listers use the negativity of what they do to further enhance their own status as a z lister, a wannabe celebrity. They have the most time on their hands, seen often, mostly annoying because they believe themselves to be someone important.

I'm actually wondering in all that where your sims are when they become MVP, celebrity bodybuilder, chef or mixologist? do they become celebrities as well, and if so, is there a way to control their behaviour?
