Okay, figured out my issue -- the "use normal walkstyle" doesn't show up till you're a Proper Celebrity (level 5) but somehow my Sim is already doing the celebrity walk style at B-lister (level 3). I'll have to test it by taking out my mods and see if it's a mod issue, or I might just restart that family down the road (which is a shame because they're adorable). I'll figure out something.
My 3 star celebrity was already doing the walk, too. I didn't realize it was a bug.
