I would imagine if it's a true hay bale, and not one designed to look like a hay bale, that the hay would be scratchy and therefore not very comfortable. As for the mushroom, while enormously cute, it looks to be carved from wood. Owie. That's hard on the tush. But, you're correct, the randomness is confusing. What looks comfortable to the eye, isn't, and vice versa. Weirdness. But, then again, that's what we were promised Weirder stories. That seems to be the ongoing theme, no?
